Description:
The Kinchega Woolshed was constructed in 1875 from corrugated iron and river red gum. It is a vast and well preserved piece of Australian pastoral heritage. Six million sheep were sheared there during its 97 years of operation. All of the original tables, presses, tools and machinery are still present. Kinchega Woolshed is located within Kinchega National Park, approximately 14 km / 9 miles outside of Menindee.
