Wauchope is a modern rural town with excellent modern facilities yet it maintains its old world charm. Colonial week is held held each spring in Wauchope, commemorating the town’s pioneering history. Many fine old buildings remain in Wauchope, and are now part of the National Trust, such as the first bank in Wauchope, now called Jacaranda House.
