Gladstone is a small NSW village situated on the Macleay River opposite the town of Smithtown. Gladstone is about 20 minutes drive from Kempsey, 430km north of Sydney. The village has some nice shops and a magnificent little park right beside the river. If you are travelling south along the Pacific Highway the Smithtown - Gladstone detour to Kempsey is a stunning scenic drive.
