Description:The Tyreel Stud property is located in Agnes Banks, just one hour west of Sydney’s city centre. The property dates back to 1804, and the stately Georgian house that remains on the property was built in 1880. The main house is of brick, on a stone base with stone sills and flat red brick lintels. The verandah is a cast iron with a double hipped slate roof. The garden contains many old style trees including a magnificent Granda Flora Magnolia over 110 years old. In 1986 Tyreel Stud was redeveloped into one of the most famous broodmare operations in the Southern hemisphere. Tyreel has a 300 metre deep river frontage to the Nepean River and its own in-ground pool and tennis court. Tyreel’s paddocks are all fenced with timber fencing and the farm is 100% irrigated from the Nepean River. The stud now comprises 100 acres.
