Description:Located east of Armidale and some 590km from Sydney, the New England National Park is one of the oldest and most popular national parks in NSW. The park includes part of the Great Dividing Range, and has a total area of 55,805 hectares. Point Lookout has an altitude of 1562m providing extensive views across the escarpment to the coast. The park is part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area. There are cabins and campsites available for hire. Contact NSW National Parks & Wildlife Service.
