Description:Erected in 1939-40, Maude Weir is located on the Murrumbidgee River, just outside the tiny township of Maude. The town of Maude itself can be found on the north bank of the Murrumbidgee River, approximately 780km west of Sydney via the Great Western and Mid Western Highways. It is 52 km west of Hay along a bitumen road which will take you past market gardens and the Four Mile Reserve with magnificent river red gums.
