Description:
Located 27km south-east of Wellington and 80km north of Orange, Lake Burrendong and the Burrendong State Park are found at the confluence of the Macquarie and Cudgegong Rivers. Surrounded by bushland, Lake Burrendong contains more than three times the volume of water of Sydney Harbour.
