Description:Angel Place is a pedestrian laneway between George St and Ash St that connects through to Pitt St. It is a busy pedestrian thoroughfare with high-rise buildings overshadowing it on both sides. It is a rare example of a pedestrian route created when the north-south street grid was formalised in early Victorian Sydney. Angel Place's main attractions are the City Recital Hall and a public artwork called 'Angel Place Birdcages'.
