Description:Goobang National Park, near Dubbo, offers scenic views, bush walking, bush camping, picnic areas, mountain biking trails, and 4WD touring. Highlights include the Burrabadine walking track, Caloma lookout, Greenbah campground and Wanda Wandong campground. Goobang National Park contains a pine forest of native Cypress pines, as opposed to European pines. The Cypress pines are thinner and scratchier than other varieties, and thrive in traditional Australian scrub, as pictured here. The forest is not planted in rows. The southernmost section of Goobang NP is located approximately 20 kms towards Sydney on the main highway between Parkes and Orange. Excellent access.
