Description:Wisemans Ferry takes its name from the old car ferry, still operating across the Hawkesbury River. It’s a town of rural farmland set in the rocky hills and bushland along the river. Northwest of Sydney, there is no township to speak of, although there is the old ferry master’s house - now a pub - a 9-hole golf course, conference centre, Bed & Breakfasts, and a park by the river. The nearby river towns of Leets Vale, St Albans and Webbs Creek offer similar features and landscapes to Wisemans Ferry. Be aware that this area is a confluence of council boundaries - Hawkesbury City Council, The Hills Shire Council, Gosford City Council and Hornsby Shire Council.
