The area surrounding the lighthouse is lush, bluff greenery, which breaks into cliffs and quarry-like rock formations by the water. The lighthouse looks out across the shipwreck-strewn Disaster Bay. The Lighthouse grounds consists of the lighthouse, keeper’s residences, several sheds and a nearby quarry and garden site.
