Description:Patonga is the most southerly beach on the Central Coast. It is located on the northern side of Pittwater/Hawkesbury River ie 98km north of Sydney via the Newcastle Freeway and Woy Woy. The waters are calm due to its location within a recessed bay. The beach is pleasant, relatively quiet and good for swimming. There is a wharf, a boat ramp and a childrens' play area. Brisk Bay faces in a south-easterly direction across to West Head, Pittwater and the Barrenjoey headland.
