Description:Garie is accessed through the Royal National Park, south of Sydney. It is surrounded by rainforest pockets and woodland. Garie Beach is a large sandy beach in between high cliff faces that is renowned for its surf. There are large grassed picnic areas all around the beach park, with a large car park suitable for unit trucks. A kiosk and Surf Club is on the corner of the beach, but there is no running water avilable in the area. There are remnants of some old fishing shacks built in the 30's, south of the beach over looking the ocean.
