Description:The 1.5km walk gives visitors access to a unique, night-time viewing experience of outstanding natural features such as Orphan Rock, Witches Leap, Katoomba Falls and Katoomba Cascades. At certain vantage points you can also see the Three Sisters lit up. The experience connects other previously lit areas, and has lighting from the top of the Katoomba Falls Kiosk car park, around Reid’s Plateau and down to Katoomba Cascades. All the lights turn on at dusk and are turned off at 11:00pm (floodlights off at 10.30pm). The experience connects other previously lit areas, and has lighting from the top of the Katoomba Falls Kiosk car park, around Reid’s Plateau and down to Katoomba Cascades. Thirteen floodlights highlight the main focal points at the site with another 390 individual lights illuminating the footpaths. All lights are energy efficient LEDs. All the lights turn on at dusk and are turned off at 11:00pm (floodlights off at 10.30pm). The 280m pathway to Cliff View Lookout is paved and wheelchair friendly. This accessible portion of the nightlit experience looks back over Orphan Rock and Reids Plateau. Park at Katoomba Cascades carpark and allow 20mins return. This is the only accessible component of the walk. There are two allocated parking areas off Cliff Drive; one adjacent to the Katoomba Falls Kiosk, and the other opposite to the Katoomba Falls Kiosk. The start of this track is a short walk from the Katoomba Falls Caravan Park, or Scenic World.
