Description:Silvermere was constructed in 1923 is located on the second highest point in Wentworth Falls with spectacular views to the north and east sides Blue Mountains National Park. It is surrounded by large cool climate gardens featuring large areas of beautifully maintained laws rhododendrons, winter bulbs and autumn colour. The house is heritage listed by Blue Mountains City Council and was restored to its original condition in 2000. Designed by well-known architect BJ Waterhouse and built for a wealthy Queensland sugar holding family as a cool climate holiday retreat, it features large living areas and enclosed verandas.
