Description:This carriage entered service in 1972, to replace the Old Commissioners Car AAH 19. The windows are rectangular with curved corners, spaced evenly down the carriage. Each window is double glazed with an integrated venetian blind operated from controls above the window on the interior side. The carriage has a plastic laminate interior lining made with a range of patterns, from basic white in the kitchen to woodgrain in the bedrooms and marble in the bathrooms, most of which are in good condition. The carriage has accommodation in the form of twinnette bunk bedrooms, with a single bed in the main bedroom. The ceiling is made with modern acoustic tiles, either curved to follow the roof or flat. The lighting is generally original with simple decorative bulb fixtures. The floor is covered with a dark carpet and the carriage is air-conditioned. At each end of the carriage is a small sitting room measuring approximately 4000mm long and the carriage width wide. These rooms have free-standing wooden armchairs with a plush fabric covering.
