Description:The Independent Theatre is a heritage listed Performing Arts Theatre. Art Deco and Edwardian in its structure, the theatre once was used as a Vaudevillian and movie cinema prior to 1939, when Dame Doris Fitton ran and invented the Independent Theatre. Featuring two separate foyer spaces, a 295 seat auditorium, substage dressing rooms and the upstairs Seaborn conference room, the venue can be used for a variety of shoots and with the right set dresser leaves nothing to the imagination.
