The small town of Bowral is the commercial centre of the Southern Highlands and began as part of the estate of explorer John Oxley. It’s well known as being the sometime home of sporting legend, Sir Donald Bradman, who grew up in the area and scored his first century for Bowral High School. The town’s residential areas have a good US-style ‘look’.
