Description:Werris Creek is a historic railway town. It is home to the Australian Railway Monument and Rail Journeys Museum. Werris Creek Railway Station was used for Angelina Jolie's film Unbroken (2014) and is a small American-looking country town surrounded by mountains and rolling hills. It is a dry, earthy town that would be a good match for a Texan or Western landscape. Werris Creek is located off the New England Highway, 19 km north of Quirindi, 44 km south-west of Tamworth and 373 km north of Sydney.
