Description:Cataract Dam is one of the oldest dams in Sydney. At the time of its construction from 1902 to 1907, Cataract Dam was the biggest engineering project in Australia. Walk across the dam wall for views of the lake upstream and gorge downstream. A viewing area at the top of the steps above the dam wall provides views of the wall, lake and surrounding bushland.
