Description:Northside Montessori School is an independent community school offering an education founded on the Montessori philosophy and Montesori principles of education to children aged 0 to 12 years. Our school has been operating since 1978, and is situated on two beautiful campuses with leafy grounds in Pymble and Turramurra. We have pre-primary classes for 3 to 6 year olds in NSW Department of Community Services licensed premises, as well as a full NSW Board of Studies accredited primary program for 6 to 9 year olds and 9 to 12 year olds (covering K-6). Northside Montessori School also has a vibrant Infant Community for children aged between 0 to 3 years and their parents/carers which offers a comprehensive (and fun) foundational program of Montessori education. The teaching methods and curricula are based closely on the methods, insights and materials of Maria Montessori which stress the individuality of the child. They are designed to help each child in sensory-motor skills, discrimination and judgement, socialisation, creative intelligence and imagination.
