Description:Balmain is a peninsula suburb just west of Sydney's city centre. One of Sydney’s oldest waterfront suburbs, Balmain has harbour views looking onto Mort Bay, as well as restaurants, boutiques and quirky architecture. Most of Balmain’s streets still have their original timber cottages, brick terraces and the occasional sandstone mansion. The suburb has four wharves.
