Burrendong Dam is a major gated concrete dam located 30 kms south-east of Wellington, NSW.

Lake Burrendong State Park is only one hour's drive from either Dubbo or Orange and five hours from Sydney. If you are coming from the north of the state, the park is 27km south-east of Wellington. Nearest regional centre is Dubbo.

Facilities

The Western Plains Zoo at Dubbo, housing many of the world's exotic animals, can be reached within an hour's drive from Lake Burrendong. There are limestone caves not far from the nearby town of Wellington, which less than half an hour away by road.
