The Colo River and its gorge is undoubtedly one of the most spectacular in Australia.
This portion of the river near the Putty Road / Singleton Road Bridge and Morans Rock Reserve is nearly 80 kms northwest of Sydney CBD.
It begins at the confluence of the Wolgan River and the Capertee River. The river flows eastwards and then south through a deep gorge in the northern section of the Blue Mountains. The majority of the river lies in Wollemi National Park.
Access to the Colo River is via Bob Turners Track.
