The Nowra Showground is located on the western edge of the township of Nowra, 160km south of Sydney.
Nowra Showground is the largest of the Shoalhaven Council area’s four showgrounds. It is located on high ground overlooking the Shoalhaven River with views to the Cambewarra Range in the north and west, and across the floodplain to Coolangatta Mountain in the east.
The first show was held at Nowra Showgrounds in 1887. The showground has a range of significant buildings and other facilities, including several with heritage values.
