Canberra International Airport is east of Canberra’s CBD, near Fyshwick and Pialligo.

Fairbairn shares the same grounds as the airport offices, but is located at the back of the site. The area comprises of the former RAAF Base, including airfields and hangars, and ex-military housing. The RAAF base is no longer in use and the site is now controlled by the Capital Airport Group.
