Eden
Australia / Eden, New South Wales
Location ID: #15337
Located 478 kilometres/297 mils south of Sydney, Eden is a quiet coastal town built on fishing and whaling industries. It’s at the head of Twofold Bay, a 3100ha harbour on NSW’s Sapphire Coast, halfway between Sydney and Melbourne. Fishing continues to flourish in Eden, as does its timber industry. The whaling has since become whale-watching, although its legacy can be seen in historic sites such as Boydtown port, Boyd’s Tower and the Seahorse Inn, all built in the 1840s.
