Australia’s Museum of Flight, also known as the Fleet Air Arm Museum, is run by the Royal Australian Navy and located at HMAS ALBATROSS in Nowra, 160km south of Sydney.
The museum’s displays cover the history of naval aviation in Australia from its first beginnings to the present day. Over 30 fixed and rotary wing aircraft, some now very rare, are displayed alongside a wide range of Navy related artefacts.
The Museum consists of a large main facility, based on the design of an aircraft hangar, located within the heritage precinct at the entrance to HMAS ALBATROSS. Apart from the main and individual exhibition galleries, there is also a museum shop and cafe.
The Fleet Air Arm Museum is located 8 km south of Nowra at HMAS ALBATROSS on Albatross Road.
