The twin towns of Forster and Tuncurry form the largest urban area accounting for about half of the Great Lakes permanent population of 27,000. The surrounding villages of Coomba Park and Green Point are situated on the shores of Wallis Lake. A pleasant 40 minute drive around Wallis Lake will take you to the little village of Coomba Park. This area can also easily be accessed by boat and only takes about 15 minutes.
Located at the Northern end of the Great Lakes area are the picturesque townships of Forster and Tuncurry. These twin towns offer all the ingredients for the perfect holiday. Water activites abound with an endless supply of sun, surf and sand. Nature lovers are not forgotten either as the town boarders the Booti Booti National Park and a scenic 15 minute drive takes you to the Wallingat State Forest overlooking Wallis Lake.
Dolphins play in the shallows beneath the bridge that links Forster and Tuncurry across Wallis Lake. Wallis Lake’s oyster leases stretch far into the lake.
