Thredbo, at the foot of the Crackenback Ridge in the Kosciuszko National Park, is the closest resort to Mount Kosciuszko. Situated beside the Thredbo River at an altitude of 1370m, it has the highest lifted point in Australia - 2037m at the top of Karels T-bar. The resort has been designed and built in the model of an alpine village, with the rented chalets and cabins in a Modern European style.
