Sylvania Waters is a waterfront suburb located 24 kilometres south of the Sydey CBD in between Taren Point and Sylvania. Sylvania Waters is on the south side of the Georges River and wraps around Gwawley Bay. This North American-look neighbourhood has a number of 1970s and 1980s stucco and tile roof homes built in a Spanish or Mediterranean style, as well as other North American-look architecture styles often seen in Florida and California, for example.
