Located 14km from the Sydney CBD and 19km from the airport, Sydney Olympic Park extends from M4 motorway and the surrounding suburb of Newington through to the Parramatta River. The 640 hectare site includes:

Olympic Park was built as the site of the Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Facilities include Stadium Australia (Accor Stadium), State Sports Centre, Sydney Aquatic Centre, Sydney Athletic Centre, Sydney Showground, Sydney SuperDome, Sydney International Tennis Centre, Novotel and Hotel Ibis and Bicentennial Park. A 450 hectare park, the Millenium Parklands, was created around the site, with a landscaped brickpit as its centrepiece.
