The nearby Cruising Yacht Club of Australia (CYCA) at 1 New Beach Rd, Darling Point has been the home of the world-famous Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race since its inception in 1944.

A heritage-listed stormwater channel divides Rushcutters Bay Park between Woollahra Council and City of Sydney, which manages the western half of the park.
