The building of the Museum of Contemporary Art commenced in 1947 and was completed in 1952. It was built in the Art Deco style and was originally the Maritime Services Board building. The grand waterside Art Deco building now houses cutting edge Australian and international modern art.
It is situated at Circular Quay with outdoor terraces overlooking the Sydney Opera House & Sydney Harbour Bridge.
The museum entrance is via Circular Quay.
