Australia / North Sydney, New South Wales
Location ID: #10180128
The Independent Theatre is a heritage listed Performing Arts Theatre. Art Deco and Edwardian in its structure, the theatre once was used as a Vaudevillian and movie cinema prior to 1939, when Dame Doris Fitton ran and invented the Independent Theatre.
Featuring two separate foyer spaces, a 295 seat auditorium, substage dressing rooms and the upstairs Seaborn conference room, the venue can be used for a variety of shoots and with the right set dresser leaves nothing to the imagination. Refer to the Theatre website for a video fly through of the space. https://www.theindependent.org.au/
As the venue is owned and operated by Wenona School, there are restrictions of its use during school term time as it is used for school events and classes however may be used at the discretion of Theatre Manager, Mr Sean Hartley.
