The 3-hectare Hungry Point Reserve in Cronulla is a spectacular piece of land jutting into Gunnamatta Bay. The reserve is a site of historical significance and is heritage listed. Inhabited by the Gwiyaga clan of the Dharawal nation in pre-European times, it was used as Fisheries Research Centre for over 100 years. A Conservation Management Plan guides future use of the site. Hungry Point Reserve is ideal for picnics, weddings and passive recreation, taking in the magnificent Port Hacking water views.
