These buildings have kept their raw industrial character with exposed steel beams, soaring ceilings featuring overhead gantry cranes and bare concrete floors. The vast expanse of this industrial building makes an impressive backdrop for any production.
The Turbine Shop is a large sophisticated industrial space within the Industrial Precinct that is full of gritty glamour and is the largest building on Cockatoo Island. Construction on the Turbine Shop was completed in 1946 and was the largest building in the Southern Hemisphere at the time.
