Picton is a small rural town in the Macarthur Region of NSW, 87 km / 54.06 miles south-west of Sydney, about 90 minutes drive from the CBD via the Hume Highway. The town features many heritage colonial buildings and restored homesteads.

The main attractions are: Picton Courthouse, the former Post Office with clocktower, which now houses the Wollondilly Visitor Information Centre, the National Australia Bank, St Mark's Anglican Church, the Toll House, the George IV Inn, Picton Tunnel, Victoria Bridge, the Picton Railway Viaduct, Picton Botanical Gardens and Jarvisfield House.
