Coonamble is a rural town located along the Castlereagh River on the central-western plains of New South Wales, halfway between Dubbo and Lightning Ridge. It is the regional hub for wheat silos, sheep and wool. It hosts the annual Coonamble Rodeo & Campdraft event each June. Coonamble also features charming period shops from as far back as the 1870s, including an original 1930s Art Deco-style cafe (Monterey Cafe, Location ID: 10245932).
