Location Authorities - Hunter & Central Coast Development Corporation (HCCDC)

The Hunter Development Corporation merged with the Central Coast Regional Development Corporation in October 2018 to create the HCCDC. It is a NSW government agency responsible for the planning and delivery of economic and urban development in the Hunter and Central Coast regions. They work in collaboration with NSW Government agencies, councils and key stakeholders to facilitate and manage development by the government and the private sector on key State land holdings under its control in Newcastle, the Hunter region, Gosford and the Central Coast region.

Key sites and projects include:
The Revitalising Newcastle project
Newcastle Bus Interchange project
Mt Penang Parklands Precinct
Remediation of the former BHP Steelworks site in Mayfield.
Closure of the BHP waste facility on Kooragang Island.
Tomago - former rural land adjacent to the Tomago Industrial area.
West Wallsend - land formerly owned by BHP on the outskirts of Newcastle and Lake Macquarie.
The Cottage Creek Precinct in the Honeysuckle Project area.
The Honeysuckle Precinct where the last stages of the Lee Wharf development are now proceeding.
