Moree is known as the "Spa Capital of Australia", attracting in excess of 300,000 visitors per year. The artesian waters are naturally heated at 41c. It is also in the heart of the cotton country and produces around 600,000 bales of cotton per year. The largest Pecan Farm in the Southern Hemisphere is also located in the Shire.
