The advantage of a modern city with its infrastructure including accommodation and restaurants. The region offers a wide range of picturesque settings. Half an hour drive to the west the land is flat, dry and has an outback feel with great red sunsets, there is also a large swamp setting. To the south is the Murrumbidgee River with its clear water and sandy beaches about twenty minutes drive. To the north the land is hilly and offers a National Park with large rocky valleys, waterfalls and native flora.Griffith regional theatre has hosted a number of film production companies projects in the past. The more recent being Jasper Drake Productions, who filmed a corn commercial for the Japanese market and Oilrag Productions with their film Doing Time for Patsy Cline.
