Goulburn is situated 200km south of Sydney, and is well known as Australia's First Inland City. Goulburn features numerous historic buildings both public and private, dating from the early 1800s. Buildings range from small cottages to large public offices such as the Courthouse, Post Office and Old Town Hall. Rolling countryside, vast open spaces, grazing land and heavily wooded sections surround the City. Close by the scenery changes to include wild caves and gorges, with spectacular vantage points.The Goulburn district has been used for numerous filming projects, including mini-series 'The Potato Factory' and advertisements for McDonalds. The following villages are within the district; Marulan, Tarago, Lake Bathurst, Bungonia, Tallong and Windellama.
