This region is very diverse, changing from lush irrigated farming zones to the outback. The Shire boasts many historic homesteads, an outback national park, beautiful river scenery along the banks of the Lachlan and Murrumbidgee Rivers, quaint villages and the historic (fully restored) Gunbar Church.
